This Privacy Policy explains what information the IFSA Global mobile application ("the app") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The app is operated by the International Fire Suppression Alliance ("IFSA," "we," "us").
Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, and professional details such as company, country, and role. We use this to create and manage your account and to identify you as a member of the IFSA community.
As you use the app's educational features, we store your learning activity — including course progress and quiz results — so your "My Learning" history is available to you across sessions.
How we use your information
- To authenticate you and provide access to member content.
- To save and display your learning progress.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the app.
- To communicate with you about your account when necessary.
Translation
The app offers on-demand translation of its content into multiple languages. When you select a language, text shown in the app may be sent to Google's Cloud Translation service to be translated. This text is processed for translation only. See Google's privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy.
How your information is stored
Account and learning data is stored using Supabase, our backend and database provider, on our behalf. Access is restricted and protected by authentication.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking. Information is shared only with the service providers described above (Supabase for storage, Google for translation) strictly to operate the app, and where required by law.
Your choices and account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from within the app, under your profile. Deleting your account permanently removes your account and associated personal data, including your learning history, from our systems. This action cannot be undone.
Children
The app is intended for fire-protection professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
